Witch elves are what makes dark elf teams so cool. They are expensive to hire and break easily, but the amount of damage they can do to your opponent’s team more than makes up for this.

From a modelling point of view they are really interesting too. I’ve always fancied Jes Goodwin’s Eldar harlequins and I wanted my witch elves to look something like that.

For a very long time I was struggling to find a combination of parts that I was satisfied with and I decided to scratch my first attempts. In the end I decided to use a Marauder witch elf combined with the legs of a female eldar harlequin. Since the face of the Marauder witch wasn’t exactly up to Jes Goodwin standards I also used the face mask of the harlequin.

The result is a witch elf in an attacking position which suits this kind of player well, I think.

So good! This is my favorite so far and that's saying something! In a dream world you could cast these up so we could all have some.

Can you please tell how you did the grass on the base?

Dead easy. When your base has been flocked and painted in your favourite dirt colour you apply slightly thinned PVA glue (white glue) to the base in irregular patches. Then just sprinkle the base with enough static grass to cover the base completely. After an hour or so you can blow off the excess static grass. That's it really. If the static grass looks very green and unnatural you can drybrush it very gently with a light brown colour. I did that on my orcs, skaven and wood elves
I just HAVE to know how you make those base numbers…!!! I've been looking everywhere to find some nice technique on it, and your numbers are absolutely stellar.
I use Slater's Platikard 3mm numbers. Paint them black and pick out the surface of the number in white. Dead easy.
